Gorgias sells to Shopify and Shopify Plus brands whose ticket volume spikes with a product launch while their headcount does not. The bill follows the tickets, not the team.
Plans run $40, $90, $550 and $1,430 a month, or $77, $471 and $1,227 billed annually, and each card itemises itself into a helpdesk component and an AI component. The fee buys 50, 300, 2,000 or 5,000 tickets; past that they cost $0.40 or $0.36 each. AI Agent is a second meter. Bundled automated interactions run $1.00, $0.90, $0.90 and $0.85 by plan, and every one past an allowance of 30, 30, 190 or 530 costs a flat $1.50, raising the unit cost by half on Starter and by 67 to 76 percent above it. Seats never bill: three on Starter, 500 elsewhere, free up to the cap.
It will not sit alongside an existing help desk, because it is the inbox. SAML SSO, audit logs and 4 req/s API access live above the published ladder on a sales-gated plan, only Advanced gets an SLA, and no uptime number is published anywhere. Help Center articles cannot be exported, macros only by emailing support, and cancelling takes 30 days written notice even monthly.
Zendesk charges $55 per agent per month before a single AI resolution, at the same $1.50 Gorgias charges only on overage. Intercom is cheaper per unit at $0.99 and still seat-priced. Both are broader; neither is built around a store. All three sit in ecommerce help desk software.
