Intercom has spent the last two years rebuilding itself around Fin, and now sells that AI agent to teams who do not use Intercom at all. If you are weighing it up, the seat price and the outcome price are two separate decisions.

Seats run $39, $99 and $139 per seat per month. Fin bills $0.99 per outcome on top, across four outcome types: a resolution, a procedure handoff and a disqualification each cost $0.99, while a qualification costs $9.99. Bought standalone to sit on your existing help desk, Fin is $49 a month including fifty resolutions, which do not carry over if unused.

What it does not do is publish a monthly seat price. The pricing page renders seat numbers through a JavaScript animation that produces no readable text, and the only machine-readable figure in the page source carries no indication of whether it is the monthly or the annual rate. The annual discount is therefore not computable from anything Intercom publishes. Minimum resolution commitments apply to seat plans, and those minimums are not published either.

Intercom documents its AI billing more completely than anyone else in this category. It publishes exactly which handoffs bill and which do not, and it refunds a resolution if the customer reopens the conversation, even across billing periods. Zendesk documents neither, and calls a conversation resolved after two hours where Fin waits twenty-four. Freshdesk and Help Scout meter AI differently again, so compare units before seat prices across customer service platforms.
