Missive is built for small teams whose work already lives in email and who do not want a ticket queue on top of it. Seventeen people run it, it takes no outside investment, and the whole price list is published.
Personal and shared mailboxes sit in one app over Gmail, Outlook or IMAP, alongside SMS and video through Twilio, WhatsApp, Messenger, Instagram and live chat. Starter costs $14 per user per month billed yearly, Productive $24 and Business $36, or $18, $30 and $45 billed monthly. Nothing else is metered: no per ticket, per conversation or per resolution charge, and no platform fee. AI runs on your own Anthropic, OpenAI or Gemini key, so that bill goes to the model provider.
Starter is a bare mailbox: no API, no integrations, no rules, no analytics, so the plan that turns Missive into a support tool is the second one. There is no free plan, no knowledge base, no volume discount at any seat count, and no EU region: every server runs in AWS US East 1. SAML SSO and IP restrictions are Business only, and two-factor authentication cannot be enforced below it. Remove a user mid-year on an annual plan and you still pay for that seat for twelve months.
Front adds a per conversation charge on top of the seat and Help Scout bills $0.75 per AI resolution. Missive bills neither, and exports its automation rules as CSV, which Help Scout does not document. It files under shared inbox software.
