Requests at a B2B software company arrive in the shared Slack channel the account already lives in, and asking that customer to open a portal instead usually fails. Unthread sits in those channels. Connect one and a message from anyone outside your email domain becomes a tracked conversation, invisibly, with no bot posting in front of the customer.
Slack Connect channels, Microsoft Teams channels, email, an in-app chat widget and a customer portal feed one inbox, with SLA policies, assignment rules, approval requests and a knowledge base that drafts articles from resolved threads. Basic is $50 per agent per month billed annually, Pro $75. Paying monthly instead raises those to $64 and $84.
Basic caps at 100 conversations a month and publishes no overage rate. Both priced tiers carry a five-seat minimum, so the actual floor is $250 a month. There is no self-serve signup: the vendor's own FAQ sends you to a demo. SSO, HIPAA BAAs, custom RBAC, audit logs and dedicated hosting are Enterprise, which has no published price. Teams is beta and handles channels only, not direct messages. Automations can be created over the API but never read back.
Pylon sells the same shared-channel motion and publishes no price at all, so Unthread is the one you can budget before a call. Plain starts at $35 a month including one seat, against Unthread's five. Intercom quotes $0.99 per AI resolution; Unthread publishes no AI rate. All three file under B2B support software.
